0 North Korea threatens United States
North Korea has threatened to wipe the United States off the map as Washington and its allies watched for signs the regime will launch a series of missiles in the coming days.
Off China's coast, a U.S. destroyer was tailing a North Korean ship suspected of transporting illicit weapons to Myanmar in what could be the first test of UN sanctions passed to punish the nation for an underground nuclear test last month.
The Kang Nam left the North Korean port of Nampo a week ago with the USS John S. McCain close behind. The ship, accused of transporting banned goods in the past, is believed to be bound for Myanmar, according to South Korean and U.S. officials.
The new UN Security Council resolution requires member states to seek permission to inspect suspicious cargo. North Korea has said it would consider interception a declaration of war and today accused the U.S. of seeking to provoke another Korean War.
“If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all,” the official Korean Central News Agency said.
The warning came on the eve of the 59th anniversary of the start of the three-year Korean War, which ended in a truce in 1953, not a peace treaty, leaving the peninsula in state of war. The U.S. has 28,500 troops in South Korea to protect against an outbreak of hostilities.
Tensions have been high since North Korea launched a long-range rocket in April and then conducted its second underground atomic test on May 25. Reacting to UN condemnation of that test, North Korea walked away from nuclear disarmament talks and warned it would fire a long-range missile.
North Korea has banned ships from the waters off its east coast starting Thursday through July 10 for military exercises, Japan's Coast Guard said.
South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported today that the North may fire a Scud missile with a range of up to 500 kilometres or a short-range ground-to-ship missile with a range of 160 kilometres during the no-sail period.
A senior South Korean government official said the no-sail ban is believed connected to North Korean plans to fire short- or mid-range missiles. He spoke on condition of anonymity, citing department policy.
U.S. defence and counter-proliferation officials in Washington said they also expected the North to launch short- to medium-range missiles. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence.
South Korea will expedite the introduction of high-tech unmanned aerial surveillance systems and “bunker-buster” bombs in response to North Korea's provocations, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper said, citing unidentified ruling party members.
Meanwhile, a flurry of diplomatic efforts were under way to try getting North Korea to return to disarmament talks. Russia's top nuclear envoy, Alexei Borodavkin, said after meeting with his South Korean counterpart that Moscow is open to other formats for discussion since Pyongyang has pulled out of formal six-nation negotiations.
In Beijing, top U.S. and Chinese defence officials also discussed North Korea. U.S. defence undersecretary Michele Flournoy was heading next to Tokyo and Seoul for talks.
South Korea has proposed high-level “consultations” to discuss North Korea with the U.S., Russia, China and Japan.

2 Interesting Note About The CT Hip-Hop Scene...
...WILL NEVER PREVAIL!
ever since i left CT, i realized 2 things: I LOVE connecticut... and i HATE the state of connecticut musically
with CT being right in between to major cities (NY & BOS) its hard for what they do to NOT rub off on us, music, fashion, trends, everything and i understand that..... but we dont even try! but now i understand why..... cuz YOU wont let us... Musically, the ppl of CT are only brave enough to roll wit something that is proven or "mainstream." Its like they need to be TOLD wats hot... and the radio, and BET and anyother media outlet is doing a fantastic job of telling them...
every and any where you go... they have their own thing... music from Baltimore sounds like Baltimore music.... which is different from music in Chicago... and thats different from music in LA.... but wat does Connecticut Hip Hop sound like?? how is it different from anywhere else....ITS NOT... and heres why....
CT does NOT support its local artist because they arent mainstream, and the only way they can become mainstream is if they have they're local support which they dont because they're not mainstream and its a endless loop...
see, in the music industry... if an artist goes to a major label with music and the label thinks its good... the 1st thing they do is call someone they know from where ever that artist is from and ask..."wats the deal with MC Such-n-such?" ....because its all about money to them and if u cant even get support where your from, how can they expect u to blow nationally, regardless of the quality of ur music....
When i was in Chicago, i would go to local sneaker stores and what-not, and all they bumped were Chicago Emcees.... and not Kanye, Common and Lupe.... im talkin, Consequence, Bump J, GLC, Rhymefest, Kids in the Hall, Kid Sister....and when they did play Kanye, it was his early, pre-roc-a-fella stuff... that would NEVER happen in CT...
WE NEED TO CHANGE... now granted, i know their are alot of local artist who are straight GARBAGE, trust me, ive met them... but theyre are still a lot of great local artist, cuz ive met some of them too... all im asking is....
ARTIST: be yourself, try something different.... if ur not from NY or ATL... dnt act like it... &
FANS: give artists a shot... im not asking you to buy their mixtapes or nuthin, but if u see someone doin their thing.... lend them an ear and if they suck, then they suck... but atleast give them a fighting chance.... and understand... our town boarders should limit us... if i made music, because of the fact that i live in WINDSOR, i cant rock in BLOOMFIELD??? cummon... i live closer to bloomfield then some ppl who "live in bloomfield" lol...
Example...: Gucci Mane is HOT GARBAGE... thats unarguable.... but hes from Atlanta and hes doin his thing... and because of that, he can go anywhere in Georgia and shut shit down... point blank... cuz he shows his city love....THEY SHOW IT BACK....
Lets work together... lets support each other... lets DO OUR OWN THING....
And i BEG OF YOU: when ur out of state... hold CT DOWN... dont be ashamed of being from Connecticut or act like ur from somewhere else... even though its "nothing worth repping" its where ur from, its where ur home is, like it or not... and one day soon.. it will be WELL WORTH REPPING...TRUST
WE NEED OUT OWN SOUND, OUR OWN STYLE, AND OUR OWN MOVEMENT...
....and i know hardly anyone will actually READ this completely.... but for those who do.. spread the word... we gotta be in this together! I support anybody doing anything out of Connecticut, wack or not cuz point blank.. they're from where im from... and thats enough for me... and i hope we can all adapt this idea one day....
MUCH SUCCESS TO YOU, EVEN IF YOU WISH ME THE OPPOSITE
-X
I already have had too many discussions on this subject. Only thing left to do is well make good music....

0 French Montana Feat. Jadakiss | New York Minute (Behind The Scenes)
Shouts to my dude Aaron doin his thing on the promotion side o' things.
1 Lupe Fiasco feat. Matthew Santos | Shining Down (CDQ)
what up ya'll...Lupe here...first lemme make a few things very clear.
1. I love the fansite alot i think its dope...i feel flattered that i have so many people interested and in support of my music and the messages that i try to stand for...and not just me but for Hey Champ and the crew and damn near anybody who even resembles me...you gives give them shine and i commend you for that.
2. I DONT LEAK MY OWN RECORDS!!! I'M NOT A FAN OF LEAKING RECORDS OR OF DOWNLOADING!!! My entire first album leaked and possibly cost me from going platinum my first time out as the final estimates of how many people actually downloaded that album illegally was well over half a million. So how do u think i feel that everytime i come to this site where my "fans" are i see you putting up links to download my records???...I dont care about the other sites. I care about where my real fans are supposed to be active. If you come across it and you like it and keep it to yourself thats all cool with me but to make it where as other people are able to download it in a public forum is honestly an insult to me. Especially because of how much i love you guys. that shit is kinda like a slap in the face.
3. FAKE SHORE DRIVES "UNRELEASED" RECORDS COME FROM MY OLD PRODUCERS WHO HAVE MY OLD HARD DRIVES. I DONT AGREE WITH THAT SHIT OR CO-SIGN IT AT ALL ITS THE REASON I STOPPED DOING MIXTAPES AND I TOLD ANDREW THIS WHEN WE MET IN CHICAGO AT THE COCA-COLA TOUR SHOW AND HE THOUGHT I WAS GONNA BE ALL PISSED BUT IT WAS ALL LOVE AND I TOLD HIM I KNOW WHERE HE'S GETTING THOSE RECORDS FROM AND HE AINT GOT WORRY ABOUT ME HE GOTTA WORRY ABOUT ATLANTIC OR ARISTA OR THE PUBLISHERS OF THOSE VERY "UNCLEARED AND UNCLEARABLE" SAMPLES.
Everytime i get the urge to do something new for my fans I go online and see "new unreleased lupe" from 6 years ago and i shrug and just say fuck it. Things like that fuck up the real plans and the mood. You dont just throw out bunch of records for the sake of having a bunch of records out. I dont operate like that as an artist. Some records aren't even meant to come out.
4. When we were talking about who should have first rights to new shit when we do officially "leak" something the only two sites that came up was LupEnd Blog and Nahright. Thats big whether you know that or not. You have a direct relationship with the artist you rock with who puts your name in the hat for everything that involves him online.
5. Someone hacked my email. I was about to fire my entire staff and cut off relationships over shining down leaking last night. Bun B hit me and was like "the records dope" and i was like "what record?" nobody even has it. the only possible explanation is my email chain with the mix studio (which is air tight...the studio that is) was hacked and thats where the record came from.
Lastly, the album is fucking ridiculous. I dont like to brag or shit like that but the album is sooooo fucking crazy at this point 95% done. and its all balls to the wall fire. I have the experience and the freedom now to make what i think will be the best received album of my career.
Lupe in the club??? Blasphemy!!!!
